Okay, this is the first time I'll ever write a blog post, so idk what to say in here, but.

Update Status

This is the first post I have ever made, so decided that it should be the right time to talk about the status of the next update that is brewing.

So far, I'm deep within re-writing the entire game code.

Yes, I am re-writing the game code from the scratch. I did this move because the existing code of the game is so messy and really hard to navigate in and also hard to make changes in, or adding new things, so I decided to make a new code that would be easier for me to change and add new stuff in it, and also being more optimized than the mess that we currently have.

I could say that I'm about 60% done with the code, just some things here and there and it all should be good.

After that, I'm gonna focus on implementing the new weapons, enemies, and the brand new Upgrades!

The next update will focus on adding the new things and the optimization of the game, so there won't be a lot of changes to the core gameplay. (yet)

Upgrades? What are those!?

So far, I haven't dove deep into the implementation of the upgrades, so I can't talk much about them.

However, you can consider them as something like perks, that you can select mid-run instead of only at the start of the run!

Once I'm done with adding the weapons, perks, enemies, and the optimization, I'll then start working on the upgrades and then I can give you more information about them and how they work!

When's the update releasing?

So far, there isn't a date that I can say, because I'm busy with university, and I sometimes take days, even weeks without working on the game.

But once I'm able to make a clear date for when it drops, I'll make sure to make a post about it!
